Creators of OmniGeometry

Sakari

Sakari is the lead developer, designer and co-founder of OmniGeometry. He is a self-taught programmer, artist and has a bachelors degree in automation engineering.

He has always been immensely interested in understanding what is truly behind the structure of our reality and seeing how things work at the core level of our existence. This interest is what lead him to start working with sacred geometry and developing GeoKone, the predecessor of OmniGeometry.

In 2010 Sakari wanted to understand the meaning behind numbers, the symbols we use everyday in our life. The same symbols that math, physics and geometry used to describe the structure of our reality. Why did the number 5 represent five different things, and why did 2 + 3 suddenly transform into the symbol 5 ? What was the deeper meaning behind our geometric symbolic language ?

Being a visual thinker, he started drawing the symbols from many different viewpoints. Doing it manually or using existing software proved too difficult, so Sakari started to write his own software for visualizing simple polygonal shapes representing numbers. Recursion, or fractality, was added to the mix, and soon his software was capable of creating beautiful, life-like sacred geometry patterns.

He also noticed the powerful effects that creating sacred geometry can have on you. Somehow creating these digital mandalas over time had a powerful effect on him, creating positive feelings and enabling him to understand more about how everything is connected and that everything is fractal in nature.  Wanting to share this feeling and information with others, he continued working on the software relentlessly.

On 11/11/11 the first version of GeoKone was released, and after 6 years of fine tuning and updating in 2017 it evolved into OmniGeometry

Gustavo CastaƱer

In August of 2015, Gustavo (AKA Gus) was searching for a graphic designer tool that would allow him to create digital mandalas.

Not being a graphic designer himself, he found that most of the available tools available in the market for designing geometric art were too complicated and time consuming. However, he kept searching until he found Geokone, a geometry based software created by Sakari Lehtonen.

Gus reached out to Sakari asking if he would be willing to teach him how to use the software. And after a few private coaching sessions Gus had the idea of partnering up with Sakari. Gus's idea was to unleash Geokone's full potential and bring it to a global scale.

Soon after Gus came up with the brand name OmniGeometry.

Allowing Sakari to do what he does best, being a developer, Gus took on the roles of website designer, social media manager and marketing and sales strategist.

The main vision was and still is to offer this groundbreaking software along with easy to follow video tutorials, so that anyone can create stunning geometry inspired designs and art regardless of their graphic designer experience. And of course they wanted to share their deep passion for geometry as a tool for creativity, art and even consciousness exploration.

As a team Sakari and Gus have the goal to continue improving OmniGeometry so that it continues to be the ultimate Sacred Geometry Designer Software in the world.
